Rachael is a physical therapist with seven years experience, specializing in orthopedic injuries and sports medicine. She is passionate about athletics and in treating individuals across the lifespan. In addition to treating traditionally, she currently volunteers weekly with the Eastern Oregon University Training room, providing evaluative and treatment recommendations for collegiate athletes. She also carries her Emergency Medical Responder certification, and participates in sideline coverage when needed.
Originally from Baker City, Oregon, Rachael and her family have been living in La Grande since she graduated from Pacific University, obtaining her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017.
Prior to Physical Therapy school Rachael was a wildland firefighter, participating in fire suppression across Eastern Oregon and the west. This led to a lifelong love for tactical athletes and she currently serves as Communication Director for the APTA Tactical Athlete special interest group. She has spoken at the national convention and participates in advocacy for the group.
In her spare time she enjoys running, skiing and mountain biking with her two sons, husband and golden retriever, Doug.
